Location Inspiration

About the Author
Jennifer Cattini
Jennifer was born and raised in London but has family roots in the mountains of Tuscany, where her family line goes back many generations. Spending holidays with her cousins and extended family in the mountains and forest , she built up an intimate knowledge of local stories, family sagas and idiosyncrasies which made the village that her family came from unique.
This location has inspired much of the landscape of this book, as she navigates each little path, alley-way and curve of the road in her mind, having walked them many times before.
With a penchant for the gothic, from a childhood of horror stories and grim tales, Jennifer has always wanted to put pen to paper to summon a world based around her experiences and finishing them off by dipping them into the dark fantasy tales of Edgar Allen Poe.
