The Year of Covid!
Well 2020 was an interesting year to say the least. The Langdons end the year with a family meal, in lockdown, talking to friends and family over Zoom.
Lockdown was a time that saw the whole country, like most of the world, go into Lockdown. School was taught online, meetings held on Zoom, and later Teams. Socialising face to face was banned, travel was limited, shops closed.
It was hard. But this time brought the Langdons closer. Miss Langdon had the privilege of being taught by Mr Langdon, which included some creative mosaic making and the solar system being represented by various toys, including a remote control BB8 and R2D2. Master Langdon managed to clear a 9 in his GCSE Geography, and Mrs Langdon finally started her novel.
We learnt to cook together, bake, sing, exersize, laugh, and also appreciate the time together. Celebrating milestone birthdays on Zoom, hosting quizzes, bingo and parties on Zoom with our friends, opening presents on christmas day via Zoom... this was the year of Zoom.
No Japan, No New York! But we did make it to Italy for a week, and most of all learnt to stop and just be together.

New York... In Hemel
New York trip did not happen, as airports were closed. But we made the most of it and celebrated Nunu's birthday with a music quiz on Zoom and American themed treats!

Enjoying Family time
Being together as a four meant we became closer. It was hard, but we learnt about each other and learned to appreciate each other. This time brought us closer.

Zooming for socialising
Zoom connected us to our family, so we could still celebrate together, even though we were apart. Halloween Bingo in fancy dress was a fun one!

Learning with Daddy
While Mummy taught her students online - daddy took over. The mini Langdons had the great opportunity to be taught by an amazing teacher - their dad. Fun times....

Online learning..
Teaching and learning taking place on-line. Something very new and not fully explored that the students and teachers needed to navigate. Something they did... with poise and dedication.

Moving into the unknown
Ending 2020 was a strange feeling. We were still in lockdown (2nd wave) and had no idea what the next year would hold. But we were all together, healthy and snuggled on the sofa watching films and sipping prosecco. Happy New year everyone.. god speed!
