2025 started off as a good year. This was the year Mr Langdon 'passed out' of the Royal Navy, and started on his journey to become a Submariner. Miss Langdon improved and demonstrated her talent as a drummer, joining a rock band. We took Master Langdon's girlfriend to Italy and introduced her to the village.  Miss Langdon took her best friend to Italy for the first time.  It was panning out to be a good year.

But sometimes a storm arrives that you were not prepared for.

This year we lost one of the family, our nephew and the mini-Langdon's cousin, our own little 'Batman'.

Quickly, suddenly and without much warning. As the summer came to a close, in the heat of London's sun, we said goodbye to our little man, the little firecracker who made us laugh and roll our eyes with his naughty sense of humour, who gave the best cuddles and who had an infectious laugh.

We saw the rest of the year in muted tones, waved 'bon voyage' to our other nephew as he moved to the USA to attend college, watched Miss Langdon turn 15 and Master Langdon leave his teens behind.

We enter 2026 spending time with the people we love, being thankful for what we had and what we still have.

What 2026 holds remains a mystery, but what we're taking into the new year, is the feeling that time is limited and so precious, and that not a moment should be wasted.
