Stay'Cations, and the simple things
This year was all about recovery.
We stayed in Lockdown until late February, then it was back to school in 'bubbles' and talks of vaccines and travel difficulties. This year we did not get to Italy, but we did have a lot of fun rediscovering the UK. Visiting museums, parks, seasides, camping. Master Langdon achieved a '9' in his History GCSE, and Miss Langdon entered year 6 and the prep for secondary school began. We reconnected with our friends, and made the most of being able to be together enjoying the outside. We also built a little summer house in our back garden, had sleepovers and watched our little family grow.
Mr Langdon turned the big 50 and discovered that steam trains made him cry. Mrs Langdon went to jail with her sisters, the kids got more grown up. Not a bad year.

Euro 2020 (+1) Final
England V Italy in the Euros final meant that both flags flew proudly in the Langdon house
After an intense match, extra time and penalties; the Italians walked away with the title. Mrs Langdon went quietly to bed!

Camping and the Isle of Wight
Having a staycation meant camping down by the sea and a trip to Isle of Wight. We replaced pasta and pizza for fish and chips, gelato a limone for Cornish vanilla. But a fun time was had and lots of memories were made.
