VEGANISM - THE FINAL WEEK -- PIZZA

So this was the final week.
I am writing this on the evening before Easter Sunday, which this year falls on April Fools.
I am totally and utterly desperate for a slice of pizza. I can not explain it. I do not even eat that much pizza usually, but tonight I would be prepared to sell one of the children for a Dominoes.
I am starting to feel better and have got my appetite back, which might explain why I am craving carbs and cheese. However I do love the new 'skinnier' me having lost just over half a stone putting me back to my healthy pre-baby weight of 10.3 stone. I am worried that from tomorrow bad habits will kick in again, and the weight I lost will creep back.
My husband will be happy. He has been frustrated with all the limitations of the Vegan diet. Struggling to find a restaurant that serves more than salad for vegans has been a real eye opener to the lack of choice for vegans. This may not be the case if you live in a big city, however we do not. We live in a small town. Here it is a struggle.
I am impressed on how well I have coped. I have had no lapses, and no breakdowns.
Do I feel healthier? Well not really, but again that is because I have also been battling an illness which sprung up one week into my vegan challenge. (Incidentally my illness requires me to limit my dairy, which is why I persevered )
Do I feel morally and ethically better?
Again no.
Whilst I agree with vegetarianism, something which I am going to try to return to. Giving up or eating very little fish. I am struggling with the idea of Veganism.
Now please remember I do not mean to offend. This is my own opinion, and I know that Vegans have their own opinions and reasons for choosing their lifestyle. I however have struggled with it.
My view is this. I always buy responsibly. I always buy organic, I always try to make sure I know where the food is coming from. I will never buy eggs from abroad. Why would I?
This is enough for me. I do not eat meat. I will not eat fish from now on. My children and husband choose to eat these, I am not going to stop them. I will just ensure we buy responsibly.
The cow will still produce milk, which in turn is made into cheese. The hens will still lay eggs, the bees still make honey. If you have bought responsibly, I see no harm in eating these. No animals need to die for my piece of cheddar.
I might have a go at doing it again, probably for Lent next year. It is definitely a healthy way to live if you eat well and get your protein. As for a lifestyle choice? Veganism is not for me.
Now, I am counting down the minutes until the 1st April when I can go back to being a Vegetarian.
Would it be wrong / gross to order Dominoes for midnight?????
So what have I learnt
