Saying Farewell

Saying farewell to my little nephew was the hardest thing I have ever done.

There are no words to describe how this feels. How it feels to not be able to fix this pain for my little sister. How it feels to not be able to say 'it will be OK'. It will never be OK.

We learn to live with the emptiness left behind

We learn to remember the good times

But we never forget.

So farewell little Jackman

In the colours of a rainbow, in the stars of the clearest sky

In a song that makes us smile and a joke that makes us belly laugh .

In a warm hug from someone we hold dear, and in our most comforting of dreams

We will remember you

Fly high little man, watch over us all.

Until we meet again
